Some Songs for Sabbath, August 15, 1998

There isn't any particular theme to these selections, except that they are chosen as if they were going to be used for a regular church service. We've included more than would normally be used in case you don't care for a particular selection.

The accompanying music on these pages

  2. These MIDI files will play a song introduction and then repeat the tune as many times as there are verses to the song, then the music will stop.

This first group are all good songs for the beginning of services. They all are songs of praise and worship to God.

O Come and Let Us Worship Him (from Psalm 95)
O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
Praise Ye the Lord, the Almighty
To God be the Glory

The glory of God's creation and it's witness to Him is always a good subject. Here are two songs about God's creation, one a metrical version of the first part of Psalm 19, the other a "new psalm" by Mark Graham on the same theme.

The Spacious Firmament on High (Psalm 19:1-6)
Great God Who Made the Universe

The next two selections are songs that we always find something edifying in when we sing them.

How Lovely Are Your Dwellings (based on Psalm 84:1-5,8-10)
God Will See Us Through

In conclusion, let's remember our fellowship in our Savior and Elder Brother, the Lord Jesus Christ and rejoice that He allowed us to worship and learn more about Him together today.

By This Shall All Men Know (Jn 13:34-35)
Blest Be the Tie
