  1 How excellent in all the earth,
        Lord, our Lord, is thy name!
     Who hast thy glory far advanced
        above the starry frame.
     From mouths of babes and infants, Lord
        strength by thee is ordained:
     For that thy enemies be crushed,
        thy vengeful foes restrained.

  2 When I look up unto the heav'ns,
        which thine own fingers framed,
     Unto the moon, and to the stars,
        which were by thee ordained;
     Then say I, What is man, that thou
        should be mindful of him?
     Or what the son of man, that thou
        so kind to him should be?

  3 For thou hast made him little less
        than the angels above;
     With glory and with dignity
        with honor crowned his head.
     Appointed Lord of all Thuy works,
        all things under his feet;
     All sheep and oxen, yea, and beasts
         that in the field do stray;
